I was born into a family that loved hunting and the guns they used for it. My name is James Beam and I am the owner of Backwoods Gun Shop located at 166 Mckay Road, Edgecomb, Maine. My personal interest belongs to collectible firearms, but I try to keep a diverse inventory in my shop at all times, making sure there is something for everyone in stock at all times. I am also able to order just about anything you want if it is not in stock. I try to be honest as I can be when describing the condition of the guns that I am selling. Condition is everything when it comes to guns, and I do not own or sell any poor conditioned guns. Take a look at the type of inventory I have available and feel free to call and ask questions about anything you see, and I will do my best to assist you. At this time, the methods of payment I accept are cash, personal check, or cashiers check. I do not accept credit or debit cards currently. I buy used guns as well as sell them, and will take certain guns in trade. I ask that payment is made in full at the time of purchase. I do not accept payment plans or deposits to hold guns. I have some extremely desirable guns, some of which are very hard to come by and find at this time. I try to have a good amount of ammunition on hand at all times for all your various hunting needs, some of which are hard to find. If you love guns, you will love my shop. I am open on Sunday's from 9-4 and on a limited basis or by appointment. Please call to schedule a time to visit if it is not a Sunday with regular business hours.
